Job Title: Part-Time Nanny
Location: Outskirts of Blackburn (between Mellor and Beardswood)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Fixed-term role until September 2028
About the Role
A warm and welcoming family is seeking a professional, experienced, and nurturing nanny to care for their young daughter, who will be turning 2 in September. Both parents work from home, so the nanny should be confident working independently while maintaining a respectful awareness of the home environment.
Working Hours
- July – September:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:00/3:00pm - From September onwards:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:00am – 2:00/3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, loving care for one toddler
- Planning and leading age-appropriate, stimulating activities
- Encouraging development through play, creativity, and learning
- Taking the child to local groups, classes, and outings
- Supporting a consistent daily routine (meals, naps, playtime)
- Maintaining a safe and engaging environment
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience caring for toddlers/young children
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Warm, kind, and nurturing approach
- Energetic and proactive, with plenty of activity ideas
- Comfortable working in a home where parents are present
- Strong understanding of child development
Additional Information
- No pets in the household
- Hourly rate: £18 per hour
