Professional Full-Time Nanny Required – Chelford, Cheshire

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, highly experienced nanny to join a warm, welcoming and professional family based in the beautiful village of Chelford, Cheshire. The family are seeking a dedicated childcare professional with a minimum of 10 years’ professional nanny experience to provide outstanding care for their delightful daughter, who will be almost two years old when the role begins.
Their little girl is a happy, affectionate and energetic toddler who loves animals, outdoor adventures, trips to the zoo, parks, soft play and exploring the world around her. She attends nursery three days per week (9.30am–4.30pm), and the family are looking for a nanny who will continue to nurture her development through engaging play, creative learning opportunities and age-appropriate activities, while supporting her to reach key developmental milestones. Knowledge of the EYFS framework is highly desirable.
This is a long-term position with a family who truly value their nanny and are looking for someone to become an integral part of their household. The successful candidate will be warm, organised, proactive, fun and professional, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely alongside both parents.
The Role
- Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for occasional weekends and overnights
- Working hours generally between 8.00am and 6.00pm, approximately 50 hours per week.
- Daily care of one toddler.
- Nursery drop-offs and collections.
- Planning stimulating activities, outings and experiences.
- Supporting all aspects of development and implementing EYFS principles.
- Preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the child.
- Maintaining routines and carrying out all nursery duties.
- Regular communication with parents regarding progress and development.
- Proxy parenting on occasion.
Both parents have demanding careers, with Dad travelling extensively for work, therefore flexibility is essential. Weekly planning meetings with Mum will take place to discuss the upcoming schedule, although occasional last-minute changes may be necessary.
The nanny will also accompany the family on occasional UK and overseas travel, including trips to London and family holidays throughout the year. Recent destinations have included Spain, Italy and Barbados. All travel, accommodation and reasonable expenses will be covered. Due to travel requirements, applicants must be confident swimmers.
The family also have a friendly Cockapoo, so applicants should be comfortable around dogs and enjoy being part of a family environment.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ professional nanny experience.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident swimmer.
- Flexible to travel and work occasional weekends.
- Professional, discreet and committed to maintaining the family’s privacy.
Salary £55,000 per year
